Q. Will it damage my gold or diamond jewellery?
No. Gold, silver, platinum and diamonds are all safe — the waves work on the dirt, not the metal. Keep pearls, emeralds, opals, turquoise and any glued-in or loose stone out of it, since those are porous or fragile by nature. If a stone already feels loose in its setting, get it tightened first.
Q. Is it safe for my spectacles and the anti-glare coating?
Yes. Standard coated lenses and metal or acetate frames handle it fine, and it reaches the nose pads and hinge screws where the grime you can never wipe off actually sits. Just check that no screws are already loose before you put them in.
Q. Do I need to buy a special cleaning solution?
No. Plain tap water is enough for everyday build-up. For something badly neglected, a single drop of dish soap in the water is all you'd ever add — there's nothing to keep repurchasing.

I did have an issue with the button where I have to press it a bit harder than normal for it to work. I was able to clean my wife's gold chain and cross neckless she never takes off with ease.
